About COUPLES IN THE KNOW: Intellectual
Intimacy is the
4th level of the
Eight Levels of
Intimacy.
Successful
couples tend to
be within five
IQ points of
each other. This
is a new feature
supports the
growth of
Intellectual
Intimacy in your
relationship!
Each month we'll
highlight a
news, charity or
information
source that
through the past
10 years of
reporting on
international
affairs our
founder has
discovered to be
extraordinary or
in the case of
media, credible,
accurate and
with minimal in
propaganda.
These are
resources you can
trust for great
products and
philanthropic
work or for solid
information, analysis and
truth often
absent in the
increasingly
corporate owned
and special
interest
landscape of
newspapers, talk
radio and
television. |

This month we
feature
Bead for Life.
Bead for Life
works with women
in Uganda,
assisting them
in becoming
financially
independent
within 27 months
by enabling them
to support
themselves
within the
Ugandan economy.
To assist
members in
launching their
own small
businesses or in
creating new
revenue streams,
Beads for Life
provides
entrepreneurial
training,
facilitate
savings
accounts, and
make business
funds available.
In addition to
buying and
selling the
beads, Bead for
Life sponsors
community
development
projects in
health,
vocational
training for
impoverished
youth,
affordable
housing, and
business
development.
These projects
are supported
with the net
profits from the
sale of the
beads, and
support not only
beaders, but
other
impoverished
people living in
Uganda.
See how many
people they have
touched in their
first five
years.
What they are:
The beads are
handmade from
newspaper and
other recycled
materials, then
fashioned into
jewelry and
accessories.
We first
encountered this
amazing
non-profit at a
fundraiser in
2006 for
indigenous
populations in
South America,
Africa and the
Middle East.
We were so blown
away by the
jewelry, we
bought dozens of
pieces and gave
them for
Christmas
presents that
year.
Bead for Life
survives on
donations, sales
from its
products and
jewelry parties
in the US and
Europe.
You can
Host a Bead
Party
at your home,
church, school,
office or in
your community
and have fun
while making a
difference. You
can help raise
awareness about
extreme poverty
and support Bead
for Life by
selling
beautiful
jewelry items,
hand-crafted by
impoverished
women in Uganda.
By hosting a
Bead Party you
are taking
concrete action
to help
alleviate
poverty a world
away! Learn more

your own Bead
Party this
